Introduction

Huawei Y9s is a modern smartphone that allows you to take superb Motorized pop-up selfies and provides amazing performance.

 

The Y9s is mostly a scaled up Huawei Y9 Prime (2019) and is a Hybrid dual-sim smartphone with 2 nano-SIM slots.

 

Huawei Y9s is expected to be launched by November, 2019

 

Display

Huawei Y9s sports a 6.59 inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen and has a resolution of 1080×2340 pixels with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9ratio, which means it has a sharp pixel density of 391 ppi density.

 

 

Body and Design

The Huawei Y9s is made of Glass front/back with aluminum frame and it feels like one sturdy, well-constructed device. Yet at the same time it also has a thin profile and feels elegant, with slight curves for a better feeling in the hand.

The back does not get all dirty with fingerprint smudges and Note you can’t risk using it without a caset the slightest drop would shatter the back of the phone and incur costly repairs.

 

Visually it looks spot on, with elegant finish well-crafted to look beautiful.

 

The handset measures 163.1 x 77.2 x8.8 mm

 

The fingerprint scanner is placed comfortably at the side of the phone.

 

Camera

The Huawei Y9s comes with Triple cameras on its back and that might be one of its most impressive features. The cameras work together to create Portrait shots, or as Huawei calls it, artificial intelligence camera.

 

You get a 48-megapixel f/1.8 main shooter and a 8-megapixel f/2.4 ultrawide and 2MP depth sensor  camera, while up front there is a single 16MP motorized camera and a dedicated  for better selfies.

Processor

The phone sports Hilisilicon Kirin 710F (12 nm) processor with 4×2.2 GHz of clock speed.

 

The Krin 710F manages all tasks and even games, but it runs with a noticeable stutter and makes you wait an extra second for apps and games to load and for things to move.

Memory

It has 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. It also has a dedicated expandable storage slot that allows up to 512 GB.

 

Battery

It packs a non-removable 4000 mAh Li-Po battery. The battery provides a talk time of up to 21 hours on a 4G network.

 

Charging it once daily is enough for the Y9s s to handle all the regular activities of the day.

 

Connectivity

Y9s comes with the full range of connectivity options with GSM, HSPA and 4G LTE. It also has Assisted GPS, GLONASS, BDS, and Bluetooth 4.2.

 

Operating system

The Huawei Y9s sports the Huawei Experience interface (version EMUI 9.1) on top of Android 9.0 Pie, which is the latest major release of Android.

Conclusion

The Huawei Y9s is a device is for anyone who wants to have an P30 but doesn’t have that kind of money. At around half the price of the flagship, you get quite a lot of features that offer a similar experience with the flagship.
